Our Top 5 Simply Hike Videos of 2015

Is 2015 over already?! It's definitely been a busy one for us all here at Simply Hike HQ, from adding many more more brands to our website, having several amazing guest contributors on our blog and creating more advice, adventure and product videos throughout the year, it has been non-stop for us! One thing that has grown hugely over the past twelve months is the diversity and number of videos on our YouTube channel. We ventured out to Wales with the one and only Rob Johnson to film advice videos, and we do believe the world's first ever Cribs style video around the Llanberis Mountain Rescue base. Whilst in Wales we also filmed two trail videos, one of Tryfan and the other of Moel Siabod. This was very new territory for us but we had great fun working on them, and of course we have been filming many more of the all important product videos! Before we show you our Top 5 Videos of 2015 we would like to thank all our viewers new and old on YouTube and on Facebook for a fantastic year and we can wait for 2016!

5 - Mountain Hardwear: Micro Ratio Jacket

In at number five we have the Micro Ratio Jacket from Mountain Hardwear. Of course product videos are a key part of our YouTube channel so it's no surprise to see them in our top 5, but why this one? This video hasn't even been up a month yet but it's had many views and likes for the short amount of time it's been live, so we think it deserves a spot in our top five!

4 - Hiking Advice: Top Tips For Staying Safe

In at number four we have one of our first videos shot in Wales. In this video we discuss the best ways of keep safe when walking the hills in the UK, but these methods can also be used abroad too.

3 - Trail Video: Moel Siabod

At number three we have our very first trail video. We shot this on Moel Siabod. It was a great day and it really pushed our limits in terms of how we film and also what we could film. We really enjoyed creating this video and hope to work on many more in 2016...we just need to work on our pronunciation of places!

2 - Mammut: Convey Jacket

Number two is the Convey Jacket from Mammut. This was the first specialist video we shot in our home turf, Kent. We wanted to make some of our product videos stand out a bit more so we headed out to the woods to see what we could create for a video. We like these videos because they show the product in the great outdoors and you can see the product in action! What do you think? Would you like to see more of these videos in 2016?

1 - Hiking Advice: Wild Camping

In our top spot (and it's not really that surprising) is our Rob Johnson wild camping advice video. In this video Rob explains everything you need to take with you and consider when wild camping in the UK and Scotland. It's no surprise that it has had 12,440 views and it's only been up for about four months!
